Tattoo Takeover: Great South Bay Brewery

Oct 9

Written By Bili Vegas

This past weekend we packed up the chairs, the machines, and the whole crew and took over Great South Bay Brewery. Tattoos, live music, and cold beer under one roof. Simple idea. Big energy.

The room stayed full from open to close. People came for the ink, stayed for the band, and left with both a new tattoo and a story.

What Went Down

  • On-site tattooing all day — custom pieces and walk-ups running side by side
  • The Warped Tour Band playing a full set of emo and pop-punk
  • Ghost Brewing’s Afterlife Kentucky Common on tap and in the can
  • A packed house that kept the energy high the entire time

Artists worked while the band played. Clients sat through sets. The bar stayed busy. It was the kind of night that feels like a private party even when the room is full.

Why We Do These

Takeovers let us bring the studio somewhere people already want to be. No waiting room, no appointment stress — just good music, good beer, and fresh ink. The artists get to work in a different setting and clients get a tattoo while they watch a band.

We also got to put our own beer in people’s hands. The Afterlife Kentucky Common poured clean and went fast. If you grabbed a can or a pour, you already know.

What’s Next

This one landed. The crowd, the music, the tattoos, the beer — it all worked. So we’re already thinking about the next room we can take over.

If you have an idea for a takeover, reach out! Brewery, venue, or somewhere that doesn’t make sense yet. We’re listening.

Book your next piece or tell us where we should show up next.
